Sonic Blue replaced the dark True Blue as a Lightning color for 2003, and a 2003 Heritage Edition marked the end of the tenth generation's main run. Ford later produced a limited number of F-150s with 2003 body styles, marketed as the F-150 Heritage for 2004, which should not be confused with the 2003 Heritage Edition. The tenth generation had been sold since 1997 and this was the last year before the eleventh generation arrived.
