Ford Expedition (second generation, U222)

Automobiles

The second generation, developed as the U222 from 1996 to 2002, was unveiled at the 2002 Detroit show in January and launched in May 2002 for the 2003 model year. It became the first full size sport utility vehicle with a fully independent four wheel suspension, and it added AdvanceTrac stability control. It was built on the same P platform as the F-150. New Limited and Eddie Bauer trims followed. Its model years run from 2003 to 2006.
