For the 2022 model year the Expedition and Expedition Max received a mid cycle refresh, with revised front end styling, new aluminum alloy wheel designs and a revised interior similar to that of the all new 2021 F-150, with an optional fully digital reconfigurable instrument cluster. The refresh kept the 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 and ten speed automatic SelectShift transmission of the fourth generation on the T3 platform.
