The refreshed 2023 Escape had an updated grille and headlights, restyled taillights without amber turn signal bulbs in the United States, and an optional front light bar. Power output remained the same, but both EcoBoost engines were heavily reworked to meet emissions standards. In China the fourth generation Escape was sold alongside its predecessor, which was sold as the Kuga there, and had a restyled front fascia with a larger grille.
