The Equator of 2022 was a three row SUV that slotted directly above the Everest in the JMC Ford line up, a mid size crossover built in China. The Equator Sport, 140 millimetres shorter and with a 1.5 litre EcoBoost engine and a seven speed dual clutch transmission, joined it. The Equator was a three row SUV that Ford sold in China, built there by the JMC Ford joint venture. It was the largest of the JMC Ford SUV range, sold above the Everest, and Ford offered it only as a six seater.
