Ford Elite (single generation)

Automobiles

The Elite had a single generation of three model years. It was a low investment design based on the two door Mercury Montego body that Mercury also used for the Cougar XR-7, restyled at the front to resemble the Thunderbird, with twin opera windows and large vinyl moldings on its body sides. Its model years run from 1974 to 1976. The Elite was a mid size two door coupe offered by Ford in North America, sold above the Torino and below the Thunderbird.
