The dashboard remained essentially unchanged on the Econoline of 1974, though the engine cover was redesigned, with new cup holders and a centre mounted glovebox that would be absent from the E Series since 1974. It was the last year of the second generation of the van before the 1975 redesign. The E Series was Ford's full size van, sold as the Econoline and Club Wagon and as a cutaway chassis. It was the best selling full size van in the United States from 1980 until the Transit replaced the vans in 2014.
