The Toyota bZ4X, sold simply as the Toyota bZ in North America and Ireland since 2025, is a battery electric compact crossover SUV and the first vehicle based on the e-TNGA platform that Toyota developed with Subaru. It debuted as a concept in April 2021, and sales started in mid 2022 in Japan, North America, Europe and later Southeast Asia and Australasia. A Subaru version is the Solterra, and Lexus sells a sibling called the RZ. Toyota said it would launch seven bz models by 2025 but fell well short, and gave the bZ4X a major refresh in 2025.
