In 1995 the MS-8 was in its fourth year, a luxury sedan on the platform of the Mazda Cronos, with the 2.5 liter V6 shared with the MS-6, which the Japanese tax rules treated as a larger car. Four wheel steering was offered as an extra cost option, like the system on the Mazda Sentia, designed to minimize the turn radius at town speeds and to improve stability at highway speed. The MS-8 was produced and sold by Efini from March 1992 through 1997.
