The fifth Dart was a front drive compact sedan introduced in 2012 to replace the Dodge Caliber with a suspension similar to that of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. It came in SE, SXT, Limited, Aero and GT trim levels. A four year production run ended with the discontinuation of the Limited and SE trims in mid-2016. Its model years run from 2013 to 2016. The Dart's chief engineer said the suspension was slightly softened compared with that of the Alfa Romeo.
