The second Charger was redesigned for 1968 with Coke bottle styling by Richard Sias, a simpler interior with a conventional rear seat, and a clear separation from the Coronet. An R/T package with the 440 Magnum or the 426 Hemi made it a top Chrysler muscle car. The Charger 500 and the winged Charger Daytona were built to win NASCAR races, and the car became famous in the film Bullitt and as the General Lee of The Dukes of Hazzard. Its model years run from 1968 to 1970.
