The 1958 Adventurer updated the all new styling of 1957 with a grille with a mesh insert and dual headlights in slightly revised openings, shown at the Chicago show in January 1958. The Hemi was dropped for a 361 cubic inch wedge head V8, and fuel injection from Bendix was offered but proved troublesome, so few were sold with it. The short model year and the 1958 recession cut production to 432 cars, 350 hardtops and 82 convertibles.
