The Manta was a mildly sporting coupe that the German manufacturer Opel built in two generations from 1970 to 1988, based on the Ascona family car and competing with the Ford Capri, rear drive in both generations, sold in the United States by Buick dealers until 1975 and in Britain as the Vauxhall Cavalier coupe and sports hatch. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the Manta A, 1971 to 1975 (1971 to 1975); the Manta B, 1976 to 1988 (1976 to 1988).
