For the 1975 model year all Manta and 1900 models were equipped with Bosch L Jetronic fuel injection systems in the United States because of emission regulations. The last year General Motors imported European made Opels into the United States under the Opel marque was 1975. The Manta B and Ascona B were launched in 1975 as the Vauxhall Cavalier Mark 1 coupe and sports hatch. The 1975 Manta was the last year of United States sales, in a final A series model with fuel injection.
