1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Automobiles

The 1971 model saw minor styling changes, mostly cosmetic, with the grille emblem showing the year in Roman numerals. Production started slowly because a 67 day corporate wide walkout coincided with the introduction of the 1971 models in September 1970, and then slowly reached normal production levels around January 1, 1971. Twelve Monte Carlos were shipped to Australia in 1971 and converted to right hand drive, four of them SS models.
