In 2013 the fifth generation 7 Series received a minor styling facelift, and the facelifted cars were in their first full model year. The High Security models, the 750Li and 760Li, were certified to BRV 2009 and VR7 ballistics protection ratings, and the 2012 to 2015 ActiveHybrid 7 was only available as a long wheelbase model. The cars were sold as the 2013 model year cars from the July 2012 production start.
