In 2011 BMW's Russian arm provided twenty vehicles, F01 7 Series and F07 5 Series GT, for the reopening of the Bolshoi Theatre's historical stage, continuing a link with the theatre that began in 2004. The F01 7 Series was in the middle of its life as the luxury flagship of BMW, with the ActiveHybrid 7 variant on sale. The F07 5 Series Gran Turismo shared the stage with the F01 at the theatre. The F01 was then three years into its seven year life.
