Honda made significant upgrades for 1993: a 230 horsepower Type II version of the 3.2 litre engine became standard on all coupes along with the option of a six-speed manual, and dual airbags were standard in every trim. The LS sedan lost its manual option and was automatic only from then on. The entry-level cars dropped their black moldings and the sedans received a 16-spoke wheel design instead of the 20-spoke one.
