For 2003 the premium EL gained automatic climate control, and an electronic brakeforce distribution system became standard on the ABS-equipped car. A dealer-installed aero package, with unique front and rear lips, side sills and a rear spoiler, was made available for both trim levels in 2003 and 2004. The EL continued to be built in Alliston and sold only in Canada, as the first Acura built there, with its Civic-derived body and its own front and rear styling.
