The Mayflower is the small, upscale family car that the British Standard Motor Company built from 1949 until 1953 and sold through its Triumph Motor Company subsidiary, with a one and a quarter liter engine and razor edge styling. It was announced at the October 1949 British International Motor Show, but deliveries did not commence until the middle of 1950. Its upscale small car position did not find a ready market, and sales did not meet Standard's expectations. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1949 to 1953).
