The Italia 2000 was a TR3 based coupe designed by Michelotti for people who wanted the dependability and readily available parts of a Triumph but would spend more for a better looking car than the TR3. The first car, the slope nosed prototype, was well received at the 1958 Turin Motor Show, and Ruffino began full production in December 1959. Vignale produced 330 cars, two prototypes and 328 numbered production cars. Its model years run from 1958 to 1962.
