The Italia 2000 was a two door coupe designed by Giovanni Michelotti and built in Turin on the chassis and mechanicals of the Triumph TR3, for the Naples firm of Salvatore Ruffino, who distributed Standard-Triumph in Italy. Bodies were built at the Vignale facility and 330 cars were made between 1959 and 1962. It never became an official Standard-Triumph model, and Leyland did not honor Ruffino's verbal agreement after taking over in 1961. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the Italia 2000 (1958 to 1962).
