The Roomy and its Tank twin were introduced on 9 November 2016 as the Toyota versions of the Daihatsu Thor, on the M700 series Boon base, and replaced the Coo. From 2016 until 2020 the Tank was sold at Toyopet Store and Netz Store, while the Roomy went to Toyota Store and Corolla Store. The Roomy and the Thor were facelifted on 15 September 2020, the same day the Tank was discontinued because several Toyota dealership chains were merged.
