On 31 August 1973 Toyota introduced the Corona T100 series, built as a two door or four door sedan, a two door hardtop coupe with T110 chassis codes and a four door station wagon. The 120 series model codes were used for late series facelifted Japanese models with new emissions control motors. North American models had longer bumpers to meet 5 mph impact standards, and a minor appearance change came in January 1977 with a revised grille and bonnet.
