The Lucra was based on the Tanto Exe, which was based on the L375 series Tanto and designed to compete with the Honda Life, the Nissan Moco and the Suzuki Wagon R. It had no changes inside or outside from the Exe apart from the emblem. It came with a CVT and front or four wheel drive. The Lucra was sold at Subaru stores in Japan, and its first television advertisement starred Eli Toyoda. Its model years run from 2010 to 2015.
