The fifth-generation Subaru Justy is a rebadged Toyota Tank, with the Toyota Roomy and the Daihatsu Thor as its twins, that revived the Justy nameplate in November 2016 and carries the Toyota 1KR-FE 1.0 litre engine. It is the latest of the rebadged cars that have borne the Justy name since 1994, after the Suzuki Cultus, Suzuki Ignis and Toyota Passo and Daihatsu Boon based versions, and the first Justy name from before them, the 1984 car, was Subaru's own small hatchback built on the Rex kei car with an engine kept just under a litre to hold down road tax.
