The Simca 1301 and Simca 1501 were two related cars that Simca produced from 1966 to 1975, announced in October 1966 as a replacement for the 1300 and 1500. They kept the same chassis and general shape but had facelifted front and rear ends, with a front end 69 mm longer and sedans 210 mm longer overall, a new horizontal instrument panel and horizontal taillights. Saloon and station wagon bodies were offered, and a two-seat load-carrying 1301U van joined them in March 1967 but was dropped in autumn 1968 for lack of interest. The 1301 used the 1,290 cc four-cylinder Rush engine with 54 hp and a top speed of 135 km/h, while the 1501 had the 1,475 cc Type 342 four-cylinder with 69 hp. Early cars came with a two-year warranty on the engine, gearbox and suspension.
