The Shelby GLH-S is a limited production series of sport compacts from the mid 1980s, based on the Dodge Omni and modified by Shelby, and later also applied to a modified Dodge Shelby Charger. GLH stood for Goes Like Hell and GLH-S for Goes Like Hell S'more. The 1986 Omni GLH-S, of which 500 were built, was retitled as a Shelby Automobiles car and sold at selected Dodge dealerships; its Turbo I engine gained an intercooler and pre-production parts of the coming Turbo II to make 175 horsepower, enough for 0 to 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 135 miles per hour. In 1987 Shelby Automobiles bought the last 1,000 Chargers built and modified them as Charger GLH-S cars with a non-EGR turbo, a Shelby valve cover, extra tape graphics and Shelby Centurion II wheels.
