The Scion xD is a five-door subcompact hatchback that Toyota marketed in the United States and Canada from the 2008 model year, replacing the xA. It is known as the Toyota Ist in Japan and as the Toyota Urban Cruiser in Europe and Latin America. It was shown to the public with the second generation xB on 8 February 2007 at the Chicago Auto Show, and sales began in mid-2007 in the United States and in 2011 in Canada, reaching just over 100,000 in total. The 2011 model year brought a minor grille change. A limited xD RS 2.0 was built in Electric Wasabi green in 1,600 units. The 2014 model year was the last, although leftover cars were still sold in the United States until 2016.
