The Scion xB is a five-door compact hatchback produced for the 2004 to 2015 model years by Scion, the former Toyota marque, and was one of its two launch models alongside the xA. The first generation was a rebadged Toyota bB, a subcompact designed for the American market, and it was previewed by the bbX concept shown at the New York International Auto Show in April 2002 and marketed to young adults. Sales of the first generation ended in June 2007. In 2007 Scion launched a second generation, retooled as a compact car based on the E150 series Corolla and styled after the t2B concept, which was also sold as the Toyota Corolla Rumion in Japan and the Toyota Rukus in Australia.
