The Saab SHARC, short for Swedish Highly Advanced Research Configuration, is an experimental stealth unmanned aerial vehicle built by Saab AB. The main objectives of the SHARC project were to develop a high level of autonomy within an early unmanned aircraft, to use a small and quick development process, and to run an airworthiness process that involved FLYGI, the flight safety authority of the Swedish Armed Forces. Saab also took part in other unmanned and stealth projects, such as the stealth UAV Filur and the stealth unmanned combat air vehicle Dassault nEUROn, and SHARC sits in that line of Saab technology demonstrators.
