The Saab 9-X Air was a concept car created by Saab Automobile and first shown at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. It is a convertible version of the Saab 9-X Biohybrid, with a canvas roof that Saab called the Canopy Top. The car is a plug-in hybrid, combining a turbocharged engine that burns E100 ethanol and gives 260 hp (194 kW) with two electric motors. As a motor show concept it was meant to show a direction for smaller, lower emission Saab models rather than to enter sale, and the article records no production version, only the single show car and its link to the Biohybrid concept shown earlier the same year.
