The Rover Metro is the Metro that the Rover Group launched in May 1990 under the Rover brand, a heavily revised version of the original with a new range of K-series engines, which won What Car? Car of the Year for 1991. In December 1994 it was revised again for the 1995 model year and became the Rover 100 in Britain. BMW, owner of the Rover Group, withdrew it from production after a poor Euro NCAP result, the last car being built on 23 December 1997. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the Rover Metro (1990 to 1994); the Rover 100 (1995 to 1997).
