Pontiac Bonneville (first generation, 1958)

Automobiles

The Bonneville nameplate was introduced as a limited production performance convertible version of the Star Chief in the 1957 model year, taking its name from the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, and it became a separate model in 1958, available as a two door hardtop or a convertible. The price dropped from the year before as most of the luxury items moved from standard equipment to the option list, and it lasted one model year as a first generation.
