The Plymouth Sundance was introduced for the 1987 model year with the Dodge Shadow as a compact three door and five door hatchback, on a variant of the K car platform, the P body, which combined the Dodge Daytona's suspension with a shortened version of the Dodge Lancer's body. It replaced the Plymouth Horizon. The first vehicle rolled out of Sterling Heights Assembly on August 25, 1986, and production ended on March 9, 1994. Its model years run from 1987 to 1994.
