Pininfarina Teorema

The Pininfarina Teorema is a fully electric, fully autonomous concept car shown by the Italian design house Pininfarina in July 2021 as its first concept developed entirely in the virtual world. Design teams in Cambiano in Italy and Shanghai in China, working under chief creative officer Kevin Rice, used augmented, virtual and mixed reality tools and designed the cabin before the exterior. It rides on a skateboard electric chassis from Benteler, is 5,400 mm long and 1,400 mm tall, and seats five in a 1+2+2 layout with no side doors, entry being through the rear as the roof extends upwards and forwards. With no conventional steering wheel, the car switches between Autonomy, Drive and Rest modes. Pininfarina describes it as a design study for shared, autonomous mobility rather than a production car.
