Pininfarina Nautilus

Automobiles

The Pininfarina Nautilus, also called the Peugeot Nautilus, is a four-door luxury saloon concept that Pininfarina showed at the 1997 Geneva Motor Show, built on the mechanical platform of the Peugeot 605 and presented as a tribute to the coachbuilder's long partnership with Peugeot. Its styling is credited to Ken Okuyama. The car was long and very low, only 1.35 metres high, finished in a matte aquamarine metallic, and its design drew on the sea, with fin-shaped wheel rims, a seashell motif at the centre of the steering wheel, door handles hidden in the window frames and cameras in place of side mirrors. The interior used two-tone upholstery to separate the rear passenger area from the driver's seat, with wide glass areas including the roof. Pininfarina stated that it was not intended for production but was a statement of the carrozzeria's capabilities, and it never reached production. Supercars.net lists about 194 bhp for the car.
