The Pininfarina Ethos 2 is a coupe concept car that Pininfarina showed at the 1993 Geneva Motor Show as the second of its three Ethos concepts, after the open Ethos 1 spider. Where the first car was a barchetta, the second put its emphasis on aerodynamic efficiency, with special attention paid to the rear profile and the silhouette of the coupe body, and a fully covered underbody. Wind tunnel testing is reported to have given a drag coefficient of 0.19, a figure that appears on coachbuilder history sites rather than in Pininfarina's own materials. Car Design News reports that exterior designer Stephane Schwarz added an extended overlay at the rear, like an extra layer of skin over the tail, and gave the car a higher roof and closed wheels, in a clean blue sky colour meant to appeal to young people. Goodyear made special tyres carrying the Ethos logo script. The concept now resides with Pininfarina.
