The Pininfarina Cambiano is a one-off luxury concept car that the Italian design house Pininfarina launched at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. It takes its name from Cambiano, the town near Turin where the company has its headquarters and where its Style Centre opened in 1982 and its Engineering Centre in 2002. The car is a low, four-seat sports saloon with an unusual door layout: one door on the driver's side and two centre-opening doors with no central pillar on the passenger side. Four electric motors are backed up by a turbine, which the Pininfarina company article on Wikipedia describes as a turbine-powered plug-in hybrid. The interior is notable for its recycled wood floor made from oak mooring poles taken from the Venice lagoon, a removable Bovet 1822 chronograph and a video-art projection on the ceiling, and its tyres were developed with Fate. Pininfarina presented it as a statement of its design philosophy of pure form.
