The front wheel drive Opel Corsa was first launched in September 1982, after a two seat roadster concept car was shown as a teaser six months earlier at Geneva. It went on sale first in France, Italy and Spain, was built in Zaragoza in Spain, and was sold in the United Kingdom from April 1983 as the Vauxhall Nova. Its model years run from 1982 to 1993. The Corsa A was built in Spain and sold in Britain as the Vauxhall Nova.
