Oldsmobile Series 70

Automobiles

The Oldsmobile Series 70 is a full-size midrange automobile produced by Oldsmobile between the 1939 and 1950 model years. Oldsmobiles of this period held an upwardly shaded middle position in General Motors' hierarchy of automobile brands, with Chevrolet and Pontiac the budget-priced models and Buick and Cadillac the high-end brands. GM shared its A body platforms between Chevrolet and Pontiac and the midrange B body between Oldsmobile and Buick, leaving mainstream Cadillacs and senior Oldsmobiles and Buicks, such as the Oldsmobile 98 and Buick Roadmaster and Limited, on larger platforms.
