The Raider was a mid size Mitsubishi pickup truck for the United States market, introduced in the fall of 2005 as a 2006 model and based largely on the Dodge Dakota. Chrysler built it with the Dakota at its Warren Truck Assembly plant in Michigan, and it was sent to Normal, Illinois, for Mitsubishi specific parts. It had a 4.7 liter V8 and a 3.7 liter V6, then only the V6, and it filled the gap left by the Mighty Max, avoiding the chicken tax on imported trucks. The name recycled that of the Dodge Raider SUV. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (2006 to 2010).
