February 1995 saw the arrival of the Evolution III, which had several improvements over the previous models. New, more aggressive styling and a new nose molding improved the air supply to the radiator, intercooler and brakes, and a larger rear spoiler was added to reduce lift. The engine had a higher compression ratio and a new turbocharger compressor, for 270 PS. 8,998 GSRs were built along with 1,082 RS models, a total of 10,080 examples. Its model year runs in 1995.
