Mitsubishi Galant (fifth generation)

Automobiles

A fifth generation model shifted to front wheel drive in August 1983 as a four door sedan and a four door hardtop with different styling. It reached New Zealand in mid 1984 as the Mitsubishi Sigma, and sales in the United States began with the 1985 model year, joining Mitsubishi's new dealership network. Trim levels included GL, GLX, GSR, Super Saloon and SE, and from October 1986 a new 2 liter Cyclone V6 was installed in the Galant and Eterna, shared with the Debonair limousine. Its model years run from 1983 to 1986.
