The first generation Clubman, the R55, was introduced in 2007 as an estate variant of the second generation Mini Hatch. It was identical to the three door hatchback from the B pillar forward, with a length increased by 240 mm, an 80 mm longer wheelbase and a bigger boot, and it was the first Mini with a single suicide door on the right. A panel van, the Clubvan, was added in 2012. Its model years run from 2007 to 2014.
