The Clubman in 2009 was sold in the One, Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and John Cooper Works forms, together with the Hatch, as the estate in the Mini range. The Clubman was the first Mini with a so called suicide door, a single rear opening door on the right, which BMW marketed as the Clubdoor, in a car with rear barn doors as well. It was sold alongside the Hatch and the Convertible. It was a new idea for a Mini.
