The MG XPower SV was a sports car built by MG Rover on the platform of the Qvale Mangusta, formerly the De Tomaso Bigua, made in Modena, Italy and finished at Longbridge in the United Kingdom. After MG Rover bought Qvale it gave the project the code X80 and set up MG X80 Ltd. The concept was unveiled in June 2001, then restyled more aggressively by Peter Stevens, formerly of the McLaren F1, for the production car launched the next year. The base car had a 4.6 litre Ford V8 of 320 hp and a carbon fibre body that reached 165 mph, and cost 65,000 pounds, against 83,000 for the SV-R. About 82 were made before the company entered administration in April 2005.
