Mercury Monterey (1965 to 1968)

Automobiles

For 1965 Mercury redesigned its full size line, with the Monterey again serving as the base trim sedan. It grew to a 123 inch wheelbase, four inches longer than Ford, adopting an all new chassis and a coil sprung live rear axle in place of leaf springs. The exterior took design elements from the popular Lincoln Continental, branding the entire line as designed in the Lincoln Continental tradition. Its model years run from 1965 to 1968.
