Mercury Capri (second generation)

Automobiles

For the 1979 model year a second generation of the Capri was introduced as part of the Mercury model line, as Lincoln Mercury ended captive imports of the Ford Capri in favor of a Mercury counterpart of the 1979 Ford Mustang. It shared the Fox platform with the Mustang and was the first Mercury pony car since the 1970 Cougar, offered solely as a three door hatchback. It was produced through the 1986 model year. Its model years run from 1979 to 1986.
