Mazda Titan second generation

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The second-generation Mazda Titan was announced in October 1980. Engine capacity rose to 4052 cc with the new six-cylinder ZB diesel, and 2.0, 2.5 and 3-litre four-cylinder models were also available. It received a dual-range ten-speed transmission that Mazda marketed as the Two Way Shift. Minor changes followed in May 1984, when Japanese models also met the 1983 emissions regulations, and in 1987, when four round headlights gave way to four square units. The Titan appeared in export markets as the Mazda T2000, T2500, T3000 or T4100, and it was licence built in India by Swaraj Mazda from 1985, a company renamed SML Isuzu in 2010. The second-generation Mazda Parkway bus was based on this truck.
